- Interim Occupational Certificate or Occupational Education Certificate in Hospitality/Food Service (CIP Code preferred, OR qualify for Annual Career Authorization – Minimum of two years or 4,000 hours (within last 5 years) of recent and relevant work experience in the industry.

- Design, prepare, and deliver curriculum content that: Is in alignment with the State of Michigan and the Kent ISD/KCTC curriculum constructs.Supports student learning through a variety of delivery methods: project-based learning, online, and in-person.Incorporates current equipment and technology into education models.Supports programs' focus on preparing students for post-secondary education experiences such as PBL, Equity, Inclusion, Restorative Practices, Distinguished teacher pedagogical knowledge, etc.Incorporates cross-curricular concepts of Math, English, and Science.

- Facilitate work-based learning experiences for students (field trips, job shadows, internships, job placement).
- Promote and market the Hospitality program and overall KCTC programs.

- Experience with or proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Google Suite.

BROAD STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The KCTC Hospitality / Culinary Instructor shall deliver the State of Michigan Curriculum for CIP as regulated by the Office of Career and Technical Education to students at Kent Career Technical Center.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Placement on the BA scale is required unless candidate holds a valid State of Michigan Standard CTE teaching certificate. (BA Step 1-5 = $48,819-$59,260/year).
