    This role is is a Fixed Term Contract for 6 months

    The job in a nutshell:

    As a Group Sales team leader your role is to deliver the agreed Groups Sales accuracy, productivity and conversion targets, in order to grow sales, achieve budgeted revenue targets and deliver an effortless booking experience for our clients and guests.

    You will do this by managing a team of Sales advisors who are tasked with the conversion of group booking enquiries to confirmed bookings.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Supporting the Group Sales Team Manager in the delivery of the vision and direction for your team, focusing them to achieve and exceed their objectives.
    • Lead, manage and develop a highly engaged and high performing sales team. Ensuring robust talent management and succession planning is in place
    • Undertake regular performance reviews for all Sales Advisors, to highlight any training needs, performance issues and to celebrate success
    • Managing the delivery of a measurable booking process for the Groups and Events channels ensuring that all KPI's are met.
    • Production of reporting to support the management of team targets and client SLAs.
    • Take ownership of any queries or complaints that may be received by the team and management of these with the support of the Group Sales Team Manager and/or the customer services team accordingly.
    • Build strong internal stakeholder relationships at all levels including Revenue, Hotel Booking Support Team, Accounts and Customer Services. Promoting accountability of sales performance, communication, problem resolution and innovation.

    What we'll expect from you:

    To succeed in this role you'll need to be a strong leader who is confident in the management of a team and be able to support the development of individuals. There will be a significant reliance on the individual to drive the team to grow conversion and room night sales supporting the delivery of budgeted revenue targets and client SLA's. In addition, the role requires:

    • Experience of leading and managing teams and driving sales performance in a fast moving, challenging and multi-channel environment
    • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
    • Results driven, self-motivated, flexible and resilient
