Due to growth of an ongoing programme, we are looking to hire a Programme Specialist to work with our existing team. This person will work closely with one of our key customers, a newly formed scientific research agency, based in Central London.

This role will work closely with the Programme Directors to provide ongoing programme delivery and operational support. The aim of the role is to provide project delivery expertise and to support the Programme Directors in achieving their strategic objectives.

    Role:

Accountabilities of the Consultant (Programme Specialist) will include:

    • Work closely with Programme Directors, Product teams and external stakeholders, providing ongoing programme and project management support
    • Managing and reviewing project proposals, as well as necessary documentation
    • Interface with internal PMO teams and cross-collaborate with Pace core project and communications teams, understanding requirements from wider functions such as procurement and finance
    • Deliver effective and comprehensive RAID management and project reporting
    • Identify and manage any risks to the project
    • Plan, co-ordinate and facilitate stakeholder workshops and events

    Required skills and experience:

    • Strong programme and project delivery expertise with excellent knowledge of Project Management tools and techniques, such as Prince2, APM, Agile, Scrum, Waterfall (ideally certified)
    • Experience working in fast-paced and unstructured environments, either within the scientific field, R&D, life sciences, healthcare, energy, or within start-ups / scale-ups
    • Experience in early-phase projects, particularly in establishing processes and project governance, onboarding systems and tools
    • Demonstrated experience of influencing key stakeholders across the organisation
    • Excellent engagement skills (including interviewing, facilitating, mediating and presenting) are essential

    What's in it for you?

    • An opportunity to join a high-growth, scale-up consulting firm; we see an opportunity to make a material difference to how clients are served, and are on a mission to create environments that thrive for our clients.
    • A dedicated focus on your individual personal development: managed through annual performance appraisals, individual personal development plans, and our bi-weekly 'continuous conversations' programme.
    • Additional professional development is available through a personal training budget (subject to approval of a relevant business case)
    • A competitive salary plus additional benefits including:
    • 25 days' annual leave, plus an additional days' leave for your birthday
    • Annual leave purchase: buy up to 10 additional days of leave per annum
    • Reservist leave: up to 10 days of paid leave to fulfil reservist commitments
    • Private health insurance
    • AVIVA workplace pension scheme
    • AIG life assurance
    • Save 30-60% on an electric car through The Electric Car Scheme

    Your Pace team:

Harnessing Human Autonomy is putting the needs of humans above all in process and system design.

We are a consultancy that helps organisations become aware of the human needs and behaviours within their operations, so that systems and processes can be designed and implemented to match.
