    Description

    The science is clear:

    even if we do everything else right on reducing emissions, the world needs to remove 200 Gigatonnes of carbon from the atmosphere by 2050.

    We partner with providers of the highest quality carbon removals, and we don't stop there; Together with our sister NGO, Rethinking Removals, we collaborate with the entire carbon removals ecosystem, across suppliers, buyers, policymakers, and narrative setters, together to develop and invest in future projects to make sure there are enough carbon removals in 1, 5, 10 and 25 years time.

    between us, we've built, scaled, and sold successful tech businesses, advised governments on net zero, shaped global narratives at Nature, New Scientist, and the BBC, led startup support and investments at Google, invested in and built carbon removal startups.

    This role will be 2-3 days per week, with a potential for full-time in the future
    Your role will be a blend of execution (writing, editing, video creation (with support from our production studio)) (70%) and content strategy (30%)
    You will support the creation of a robust market-education and content function, and work closely with and oversee an existing freelance writer
    Produce engaging content that increases brand awareness and positions CUR8 as a thought leader
    You will oversee CUR8's editorial process and brand consistency and ensure company tone and point of view is maintained throughout all published materials
    You will stay up to date with the latest news about carbon removal, helping us build a community of editorial collaborators and colleagues

    You will work closely with the Commercial and Product team to gather insights for content creation
    You will help inform our strategy to achieve maximum commercial and climate outcomes, always balancing what's good for the company, the ecosystem, and the planet
    A great candidate will have previous experience as a Content or Marketing Lead, with experience managing a content or editorial team
    ~5+ years in B2B content marketing or journalism (some SaaS experience preferred), with an ability to work with stakeholders throughout the business
    ~ Proven ability to craft compelling content that drives revenue (or readership)
    ~ You have prior experience working in B2B Marketing, helping build or execute content strategy in an early-stage startup, or having worked as a journalist for a leading publication
    You ideally have experience writing about climate change/carbon markets/carbon removals or have worked in other complex industries
    You have exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex or technical content in a concise and accessible way
    You understand what it takes to create exceptional customer journeys through educational content
    You are a people person - you enjoy working with clients and partners, solving problems, and building long-lasting, trusted professional relationships
    within the team, with the freelancers/contractors you manage, and with the wider ecosystem
    We are offering a day rate of £250 - £350, depending on experience.
