- Technical owner of the associated digital platforms and asset integration and will have a significant role in developing and maintaining the infrastructure of the Enhance capability.
- Establish and execute a vision for the delivery of Energy Management Systems to the business' key stakeholders and that transforms SSE into a company that differentiates itself through Digital Services.
- Innovate DERMS and other energy management solutions, oversight and architecture that build IP for SSE.

This role is focused on maximising system capability and efficiency to achieve business goals. The Technology Development Manager will act as the voice of the business within a DistributedEnergy Digital team and must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy as well as a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.
In this role the individual will support agile delivery having specific experience in energy solutions such as DERMS and VPP understanding the digital platforms business areas unique needs whilst considering customer experience. The role is responsible for developing the solutions for managing, optimising, and integrating existing and future assets. The role will contribute and support the delivery of the technology roadmap enabling a pathway for a digital carbon neutral energy system.
