    As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Business Development Manager with experience in insurance broking to manage the development of general insurance brokers in the South Central and South West regions.

    The ideal candidate will reside in or around Reading, Guilford, Slough, Kingston upon Thames, Southampton, Salisbury, Swindon areas and will have some general insurance broking experience from either having worked at an insurance broker or serviced general insurance brokers in this region.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for visiting and maintaining regular contact with general insurance brokers within the assigned region, nurturing and developing sales opportunities from the suite of personal and commercial insurance products and associated services that we can provide access to.

    ·Geographical knowledge of region

    ·Communication skills

    ·Knowledge of MS Office, in particular, Excel and Outlook

    ·Delivery of revenue targets within a specified region

    ·Regular broker visits

    ·Product sales

    ·Information gathering

    ·Identify and deliver areas for growth within region

    ·Maintain and develop existing product provider | broker relationships

    ·Develop new broker relationships

    ·Compliance with procedures and regulatory requirements

    ·Attending events, promoting the business

    ·Keep abreast of competitor activity

    ·Champion the brand visions and values and represent the company in a professional manner

    ·Control expenses to meet budget guidelines

    ·Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes

    Experience:

    ·A minimum of two years general insurance broking experience either working at an insurance brokers or servicing general insurance brokers: two years (minimum required)

    ·Business Development: one year (required)

    ·Full driving licence with a minimum of two years' driving experience

    ·Existing general insurance broker relationships

    ·Salary is dependent upon experience in a similar role
