- Monitoring online resource renewals, liaising with suppliers to negotiate price and with the Parliamentary Commercial Directorate (PCD) to complete paperwork needed for the procurement process.
- Keeping relevant contract documentation up to date, ensuring Section compliance with current PCD and House policy. Including Contract Management Plans, Risk Matrix and End of Contract Forms.
- Assisting with the drafting of requirements and Invitation To Tender (ITT) documents and the coordination of consultation responses from colleagues.
- Arranging quarterly supplier meetings for larger contracts managed by the Library Resources Team including for Serials and Newspaper contracts. Compiling and circulating agendas and minutes for meetings and ensuring information about decisions and actions is disseminated.
- Checking the monthly Contract Management Report for Research and Information, reporting changes to the Online Resources Manager.
- You are familiar with the processes involved in contract management and have some understanding of the relevant House-wide financial and procurement guidance and policies. You are keen to enhance and develop this knowledge.

Introduction
The Research and Information (R&I) team consists of the House of Commons Library and the Parliamentary Office for Science and Technology (POST). Our team includes librarians, researchers, scientists, statisticians, communications professionals, data and information managers, and more.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the busy Library Resources Section which is part of the Library Services directorate within R&I. The section manages the House of Commons Library's online resources, important collection of books, pamphlets, Official Publications, serials, and newspapers, as well as the collection of hardcopy and digital parliamentary papers.
The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed person to work in the Acquisitions and Online team within the Library Resources Section. This smaller team within Library Resources handles the acquisition, payment, management and promotion of books, journals, and online resources. You will be responsible for monitoring online resource renewals, completing contract and procurement documentation, and setting up regular account meetings with suppliers and key internal stakeholders.
