The area provides 24/7 primary angioplasty service and is continuously expanding and developing the service provided, to ensure high quality patient care.
The department have developed a continuing education program, to achieve the required competencies to work effectively in the day to day provision of acute cardiology services including on call cover for primary PCI.

The Cardiac Suite at East and North Hertfordshire NHS trust is currently looking for a dynamic and motivated nurse team leader to join our progressive cardiology team for a full-time substantive post.
The ideal candidate will provide excellent shift leadership and management of the designated ward/department when on duty and lead a team of staff to carry out delivery of care to a complex group of patients.

Registered nurse on part 1 or 12 of the NMC registerPrevious experience within a cardiac catheter lab setting
Experience of non invasive cardiology tests
Excellent organisation and time management skills and an ability to prioritise own workload and that of others
Broad knowledge of cardiology and the management of cardiac conditions, with an understanding of ECGs
