The newly built hotel, impeccably designed to harmonise with surrounding heritage buildings is just moments away from the city's most iconic attractions, including Three Royal Parks, Buckingham Palace, Harrods, and Big Ben. Its 190 light-filled guest rooms and suites have been exquisitely designed by Peter Marino; its gathering spaces include several world-class restaurants and bars, the idyllic Peninsula Spa, and a luxury retail arcade.

    We are thrilled to be seeking for our Executive Chef who will continue to elevate our culinary offerings whilst positioning The Peninsula London restaurants & bars as world class destinations.

    • Key accountabilities​

  • Manage all aspects of the kitchen operations (budgeting, forecasting, capex resource planning, labour management, waste management, etc.), food quality and administrative functions.
  • Create recipes and menus, and pricing in accordance with marketing, cost control, and profit objectives.
  • Anticipate and evaluate the market needs pertaining to the culinary expectations, considering the local market, guest mix, and industry and competitive trends to recommend appropriate product/service and operational changes to ensure guest.
  • Instigate a continuous improvement mindset in the department to drive employee engagement and maintain market positioning with exceptional financial returns.
  • Maintains and set adherence standards for product quality, consistency, presentation, portioning, garnishment, and utilization goals.
  • Develop positive customer relations through proactive interaction with Guests, Team Members, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Work in synergy with the Food and Beverage leaders to ensure that the divisional are achieved and well communicated.

    • General requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years in a similar position at a luxury hotel or large hospitality group as an Executive Chef.
  • Exceptional creative abilities and extensive menu development and budget preparation experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership skills to engage and motivate key stakeholders, especially colleagues. Passion for creating exceptional guest and colleague experiences.
  • Fluent in English language proficiency.
