Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our senior nursing leadership team working within the colposcopy service providing nurse led services alongside the colposcopy nursing team.
We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced nurse Colposcopist to join our expanding colposcopy and vulvoscopy service supported by the medical colposcopy team and the nurse consultant and colposcopy nurses.
The Colposcopy, Outpatient Hysteroscopy and Vulvoscopy service will berelocating to a newly designed dedicated diagnostic centre which is part of the North East London Network which will enable us to improve the waiting times for appointments and improve the patient experience.
The Lead Consultant will support the training and developmental needs required to support the leadership of the Vulvoscopy service and enhance the partnership between the specialist services within the division.
This is an exciting opportunity for an nurse to work and support nurse led Vulva Clinics following an agreed period of training and achieving competence.
The senior nurse specialist will work with and support the Lead Consultant for Colposcopy and will be instrumental in delivering on all aspects of governance, risk, professional and operational leadership.
Patient safety is fundamental to the excellence of the services, and the post holder will be responsible for ensuring the consistent delivery of evidence-based, safe and effective nursing, infection prevention, and safeguarding standards.
The successful candidate will be a key member of the senior gynaecology nursing team and will have key working relationships with divisional service management team and other senior nursing colleagues across the division.
The successful candidate will provide strong and effective leadership, and clinical expertise in relation to colposcopy, the nursing team and other clinical colleagues.
This role will be integral in developing and sustaining effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the Health promotion and prevention agenda is delivered as well as reducing hospital attendancesThe successful candidate will provide compassionate and visible leadership and be able to create a culture of excellence, driving forward service improvements whilst maintaining patient-centred care.
