    Description

    We are seeking a talented and experienced Pastry Sous Chef to join our client at their renowned fine dining restaurant. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the creation and execution of all desserts, pastries, and other sweet offerings for our discerning clientele.

    Responsibilities:
    • Develop and design innovative dessert and pastry menus that complement the overall dining experience
    • Ensure the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste in all desserts and pastries
    • Manage and coordinate the pastry team, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation
    • Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation protocols
    • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to align dessert offerings with the restaurant's culinary vision
    • Monitor and control food costs to maintain profitability
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new techniques and flavors as appropriate

    Requirements:
    • Minimum experience as a Pastry Chef in a fine dining or high-end restaurant environment
    • Formal culinary education or training, with a focus on pastry arts
    • Exceptional baking and pastry-making skills, with a keen eye for detail and presentation
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills
    • Proficient in the use of standard pastry kitchen equipment and tools
    • Thorough understanding of food cost control and inventory management
    • Passion for creating unique and visually stunning desserts
