- Manage the provision of resources and attend major/serious crime scenes and mortuaries to deliver specialist strategy advice in respect of fingerprint capture and recovery, ensuring key dates and service requirements are met.
- Use the national IT applications (Including Digital Capture of Fingerprints in Custody) efficiently and effectively ensuring best practice is strictly adhered to.
- To be a qualified UK Fingerprint Expert and have successfully completed fingerprint identification training programmes.
- Practical knowledge of working to ISO 17025 quality standards Forensic Science Regulators Code relating to the Fingerprint Bureau.
- Possess a valid UK driving licence.

EMSOU-FS forms part of the East Midlands Special Operations Unit and unites the assets and resources of the East Midlands Counter-Terrorism Intelligence Unit with the Special Branches of Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire forces to create a single collaborative regional unit.

For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
