    New Business Account Manager UK and Ireland - united kingdom, United Kingdom - Hartmann Young

    My client has a growing diverse portfolio of life sciences and diagnostic products for the pharma, biopharma, healthcare and environmental markets.

    Your role will involve finding new customers, building solid partnerships, and boosting sales through strategic selling. You will need your scientific knowledge and sales skills to market our services, close deals, and support our ongoing success.

    As a New Business Development Manager, you will support the growth of the UK and Ireland laboratory equipment and consumables portfolio, by driving market share and revenue with a core focus on sales execution of new direct customers. Focus on sales execution, driving pipeline creation and direct customer adoption of Academia, Pharma, Biotech/Biopharma customers. You must be comfortable selling a consumables portfolio to new customers as this will make up 80% of your role.

    What credentials you need:

    • Degree Level Qualification (BSc) in a Life Sciences related field.
    • years' experience in new business sales, business/business development or other commercial roles involving customer interface
    • Preference would be additional 4-5 years' experience selling consumables and equipment directly to Academia Pharma, Biotech/Biopharma, customers.
    • A hunter mentality with evidenced experience of winning new business.
    • Demonstratable experience of hitting and overachieving targets.
    • Experience in multiple sales techniques, using effective questioning and objection handling.
    • Confident user of Microsoft Office suite and CRM systems
    • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
