    Role: Information Security Analyst

    Location: Birmingham

    Salary: £45,000+

    Locke & McCloud is looking for an experienced Information Security Analyst to join their expanding Information Security team within a legal services company.

    The chosen candidate will have a crucial role in executing the organization's security strategy. Establishing and managing relationships with the team and important stakeholders across the company are essential for this position.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments, offer suggestions, and apply controls.
    • Possess in-depth knowledge of sophisticated threat identification, continual vulnerability evaluation, and tactics for response and reduction in information/cyber security operations.
    • Contribute to the execution of the IT security strategy, including creating supporting guidelines and procedures.
    • Supervise IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance.
    • Work closely with Technical Services Teams and other departments to define technology security requirements.
    • Communicate with customers and external parties regarding information security matters.
    • Assist in planning and performing routine penetration testing at different network levels - external perimeter, internal, and applications.
    • Keep an eye on the external threat landscape and recommend suitable actions for emerging threats.
    • Offer advice and assistance for cyber incident response during simulations and actual breaches/security incidents.
    • Provide expertise and leadership to the organization in understanding and executing compliance as per the International Organization for Standardization [ISO], especially ISO27001.

    About you:

    • 3-5 years of experience in Information Security focusing on governance, risk, and compliance.
    • Proficient in conducting information security audits like ISO27001, NIST.
    • Experience in applying and carrying out ISO related controls both technically and operationally.
    • Familiar with general information security management principles and data protection.
    • Experience in Information Security or IT Security, Data Protection.
    • Self-driven, proactive, and capable of taking initiative.
    • Thorough understanding of advanced threat identification, continual vulnerability assessment, response, and reduction strategies used in Cyber Security operations.
    • Ability to outline technology security requirements in collaboration with technical teams.
    • Engaging with clients, business partners, and other external parties concerning information security.
    • An innate interest in IT security trends with a comprehensive knowledge of IT.
    • Experience of working in a matrix organization, reporting to various individuals including technical line managers and project managers.
    • Obtained (or will obtain) relevant industry certifications where applicable.
