The Design Engineer/Applications Engineer job itself which requires a professional and self-motivated individual with the ability to work to tight deadlines to join a supportive team and help us to achieve growth objectives.
Visit to customer sites to support our Sales Team when required, to ensure that the design and needs of the customer are met on a timely and effective basis.
Supports the Sales team by providing technical feasibility input on enquiries with engineering support including communication directly with customers and suppliers when required.
Generates and approves sealing design proposals utilising our extensive design and material expertise to ensure the best application solution for our customer.
Applications Engineering - design of products for customers using SolidWorks (CAD), whilst dealing with Customers and Suppliers.Quality Systems - Knowledge and experience of Quality Systems, familiarity with the Quality Procedures of ISO9010:2015, PPAP, First Article Inspection, Non-Conformances, Quality Audits etc.
Procurement / Suppliers - Work closely with suppliers to ensure quality of product.Hours:
Full Time:
Monday to Thursday: 8:30 to 17:00 Friday: 8:30 to 16:00 Incl.
To be successful as the Design Engineer/Applications Engineer, you will have a healthy mix of the following:
Further Education in a Mechanical/ Engineering discipline. Engineering / Technical apprenticeship.
Previous experience desirable in a similar field and position.
IT usage of Microsoft Office suite, ERP & CAD systems
As Design Engineer/Applications Engineer, you will enjoy a competitive salary of £45K-£50K + Package. Company Bonus, Pension scheme, Medical (BUPA), Dental, Childcare Vouchers and Cycle to Work Scheme
25 days holiday entitlement per annum increasing with years in service.
