    Job Title: SeniorCommercial Manager MEP

    Salary: Up to £95,000

    Role Purpose

    To deliver a quality service and product to our clients in line withthe project goals by working with the project team and applyingsystems and procedures.

    • Take lead financial role on keyprojects delivering to agreed targeted profit margins

    • To takeresponsibility for the regular review of financial performance ofprojects within the division in order to improve financial certaintyand maximise commercial success

    • To ensure best practice andcontinuous improvement in divisional financial processes on

    • Toprovide high quality management information to divisional financialdirector and divisional commercial manager.

    KeyAccountabilities

    Accurate and timely project financialmanagement:

    • Conduct start-up meetings with the financial teamwithin first week of contract award for allocated projects

    •Ensure project team approach is clearly aligned with expectations forthe specific project

    • Monitor financial resources on allocatedprojects to DCM, ensuring key risks are clearly identified and broughtto the attention of Project Director/ Commercial Lead.

    Completion of all identified actions to deadlines Proactive projectand technical support:

    • Hold regular financial review forallocated projects, held on project site, with project financial teamto address financial performance, identify potential issues orproblems and collaborate to deliver solutions

    • Provide accurateand timely feedback and guidance to the project financial teams onallocated projects

    • Ownership for implementing solutions andclosing issues where appropriate in support of the project financialteam

    • Timely transfer of skills and experience to the projectfinancial teams on allocated projects to ensure they deliver to therequired targeted margins

    • Attend monthly financial meetings andcontribute as required by PD/ CL

    Effective peoplemanagement:

    • Provide clear, appropriate and timely feedback onperformance, attitude and behaviour to project financial individualteam members on allocated projects.

    • Develop and implement amechanism for allocated project financials to share, with projectconstruction team's continuity of approach and lessons

    • Ensurethat the outcomes of sharing approach and lessons learnt are sharedwith relevant colleagues, when appropriate

    • Act promptly andpositively to address performance or behaviour issues when they arise,utilizing the support of HR.

    Skills & Experience

    •Experience in establishing, managing and leading a large project teamand/or multiple smaller project

    • Experience of most forms ofrelationships with clients/consultants and suppliers which will raiseprofile of the division and lead to new

    • Experience in claimsresolution both with the Employer and Trade

    • Experience ofdelivering MEP Projects and sound technical knowledge of the same

    • Evidence of strong interpersonal and people management skills areessential

    • Demonstrably commercially focused with a proven trackrecord of delivering high quality results whilst maintaining positiverelationships in difficult financial environments

    • Allocation ofrisk and maximisation of profit in single stage fixed priceprocurement routes

    • Ability to multitask

    • Ability tounderstand the wider picture whilst devoting attention to detail

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrate experience of undertaking seniorcommercial roles on major projects, understanding of an ability toadminister different contract forms which need to include one of themanagement forms, 2 stage, single stage and Design & Build.

    •Likely to be either MCIOB or RICS.

    • Track record in leading anddeveloping teams
