    Certification Engineer part time (Pro rata)

    Hours: 10am -2pm Mon-Fri ( Flexible)
    Salary up to 60k Pro rata part time
    To communicate with customers on their testing requirements.

    • To plan testing schedules.
    • To contact third party test houses to arrange testing and work with Purchasing to obtain suitable quotations.
    • To specify and oversee in-house testing using our own test equipment.
    • To obtain and manage our own copies of all necessary international and local testing standards and keep these up to date.
    • To stay up to date, advising engineers and managers of relevant changes in test and certification requirements and standards and advising of necessary changes or re-testing.
    Candidates should be qualified to BSc/BEng level in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Certification or similar discipline.

    • To have at least 5 years practical industrial experience in testing and certification of electrical and electronic products.
    • To be familiar with a range of BS, EN, IEC, UL, CE, UKCA and FCC standards covering safety, EMC, telecom RF, industrial and appliances.
    • They should be keenly aware of the need of an industrial company to produce reliable products, to specification, on time and within defined cost constraints.
    • They will need to be flexible in the tasks they undertake and will report to the Chief Electronics Engineer.
