    Description

    Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

    We are seeking an enthusiastic, confident, pro-active HSE Officer to join our Team at Mettler Toledo.

    You will create and implement H&S policies inline with current legislation, and champion innovation and solutions, promoting a positive culture and safe working practices.

    Your responsibilities:

    • Managing the on-site and field risk assessments and method statements ensuring they are completed to a high standard.
    • Work closely with managers to complete corrective actions, carry out improvements and audit results.
    • Managing COSHH register and associated documentation. Advise on chemical safety.
    • Manage the new starter HSE inductions.
    • Managing the waste management company and collation of documentation in accordance with ISO requirements.
    • Carrying out the duties of Senior Fire Marshall and First Aider and manage the Fire Marshalls and first aiders
    • Be the HSE representative for all of the premises owned or leased by Mettler Toledo UK (Leicester, Livingston and Dublin).
    • Chair SHEQ Committee meetings.

    What You Need to Succeed

    • Minimum NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
    • Minimum NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management or IEMA Foundation Environmental Management
    • Good Microsoft Office Knowledge (Excel, Outlook, Word)
    • Previous Health, Safety and Environmental experience
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics
    • Occasional travel around the UK and Ireland
