    JOB TITLE: Sous Chef
    DEPARTMENT: The Parkgate Hotel - Culinary
    RATE OF PAY: £13.54 per hour – Plus Excellent Benefits
    CONTRACT TYPE: Full Time
    HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week
    SHIFT DETAILS: 5 days out of 7

    This is a great chance for a seasoned chef to embrace a new challenge. The ideal candidate will showcase a strong passion and creativity in the culinary field. They should have substantial experience in a similar position, a deep understanding of kitchen operations, and a proven track record of effectively leading a large kitchen team. We are in search of individuals who have a genuine love for food and can consistently deliver top-quality dishes in a high-paced environment while staying calm under pressure.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Manage all Restaurant and Banqueting requirements efficiently
    • Support the Head Chef and adhere to Health & Safety regulations
    • Ensure proper labeling and rotation of stock
    • Keep the kitchen clean and coordinate with the Stewarding team for cleaning tasks
    • Handle complaints promptly and maintain detailed records
    • Check, receive, and store purchased food items correctly

    Managed by the Welsh Rugby Union, The Parkgate Hotel is conveniently located near Principality Stadium, making it an ideal spot for match days and exploring Cardiff's attractions. With meticulous restoration of period features, the old Post Office and County Court have been transformed into a delightful place to stay, offering captivating spaces to meet, dine, and relax.
