    Continuum Industries is on a mission to help the world accelerate the transition to a more sustainable future using Artificial Intelligence.

    We have developed Optioneer , an AI-powered tool that helps plan new infrastructure projects much faster, more sustainably and with lower risk.

    underground and subsea power cables, overhead transmission lines, hydrogen, and water pipelines.

    We're looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our Applications Team (currently ~10 people) comprised of a mix of front end, back end, full stack and DevOps expertise.

    Based in our Edinburgh office we all have a passion for both engineering (all kinds) and technology with a positive impact.

    Optioneer is a data-rich application.

    We ingest geospatial data on a national scale which Optioneer uses to suggest viable routes for infrastructure based on hundreds (if not thousands) of constraints.

    It is used by people with highly specialised knowledge in the infrastructure industry such as Civil/Design/GIS Engineers, Environmental Consultants and Project Managers to significantly reduce the time in which linear infrastructure is planned and developed.

    As we expand we're going to be adding more data sources, more layers and more customers and users. We want to make sure our front end is balanced; boosting usability and performance whilst adding functionality.

    We're looking for a Senior Engineer who can help strike that balance as we bring Optioneer to more and more customers and scale our operation globally.

    Ownership & Delivery of Features: Lead the development and delivery of complex features, taking ownership from conception to deployment and beyond
    Improve code structure and architecture and optimise for performance
    Help to implement (and recommend) the best software design/development practices in the team
    Spearhead the innovation and implementation of cutting-edge functionalities, such as advanced 3D visualisation, data analysis tools, and real-time collaboration features
    You'll actively provide colleagues with feedback and suggestions to help us all perform at our very best.
    Vue (or React) | Typescript | AWS| Software Architecture

    Continuous Improvement:
    You write quality code but you don't stop there, you've looked for ways to optimise and improve both structure and design
    You'll have experience built over several years helping others to grow and develop through structured mentoring

    You'll know how valuable good communication is to delivering projects effectively and will default to seeking clarity rather than assuming knowledge.
