Description

My client is on a transformative digital journey, and is looking for an IT Project Manager to play a pivotal role in this evolution. As part of the Digital, Data & Technology Department, you will be managing end-to-end delivery of IT projects that are crucial for their strategic goals.

Please note - this opportunity does not offer visa sponsorship, you will need the full right to work in the UK already in place.

Salary: Up to £40,000 (slightly more if you have line management experience)
Location: Bath - Hybrid working offered (2 days on site)
Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Day to Day of the role:

Manage the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and business case formulation to solution delivery, budget management, and schedule oversight.
Work closely with the Portfolio Management Office to ensure project lifecycle management and assurance, as well as effective project reporting.
Lead project teams, including task and matrix management of the delivery team and management of contractors.
Engage effectively with project stakeholders and report progress to the Project Board.
Ensure compliance with all Data Protection laws and policies.
Undertake personal and professional development to keep skills and knowledge up to date.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in IT project management, including planning, resource allocation, and implementation in line with organisational standards.
Familiarity with Agile/Waterfall methodologies and the ability to implement these across projects.
Strong leadership skills with experience in matrix management of multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to meet and exceed expectations.
Competence in risk, quality, and procurement management.
Ability to produce detailed project plans, identify dependencies, and manage changes effectively.
Strong communication skills and the ability to report project progress to senior management.
