    Description

    Benefits:

    37 Hours per week, Term Time Only (Plus 5 days)
    30pm Monday to Friday with half an hour unpaid lunch
    and an early finish of 3pm one day per week.

    The post holder will undertake duties and have responsibility for monitoring of attendance and retention of students within the school and for developing systems for improving student attendance and punctuality.

    Co-ordinate absence data entry into SIMS on a daily basis
    Receive all incoming calls/email messages regarding student absence and inform relevant staff of any issues arising from such calls/messages
    Oversee the process of absence authorisation, including liaising with parents/carers of absent students (via Schoolcomms/telephone/letters/email plus meetings and home visits as appropriate) in connection with promoting good student attendance and to update individual student attendance records
    Liaise with Heads of Year, the Behaviour, Attendance & Outreach Specialist and the Leadership Team as required re: concerns and provide regular student attendance data/information/lists and contribute to key stage/ attendance meetings
    Support with the provision, analysis and evaluation of attendance/behavioural data as appropriate
    Contact parent/carers in the event of child becoming unwell/injured in school
    To work as a member of the First Aid Team, administering first aid to students as required
    Liaise with School Nurses on annual vaccinations and other health issues
    Students with medical conditions – ensure Health Care Plans are up to date and all staff are aware
    Administer medication to students.
