    Business Development Manager / Bid Writer - Recruitment Business

    Spencer Clarke Group is on the lookout for talented and ambitious individuals to join our expanding team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment at our brand-new Preston Office as a Business Development Officer / Bid Writer.

    Established in 2017, Spencer Clarke Group has witnessed remarkable growth and is now searching for energetic, detail-oriented individuals who are keen to put in the effort and be duly rewarded. We operate across various sectors, including Health & Social Care, Housing, SEND, Finance, Engineering, and Construction, providing temporary and permanent staff to both public and private sectors nationwide.

    This position combines business development and bid writing responsibilities, involving overseeing the entire bid process from beginning to end.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Create and deliver high-quality proposals and tender submissions that align with client needs
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop tailored bid content
    • Strategize and engage in meetings to improve submission effectiveness and success rate
    • Edit bid content for consistency, clarity, and compliance with requirements
    • Utilize storyboarding techniques to plan bid responses
    • Maintain and update tender and case study libraries
    • Ensure proposals meet technical and client-specific standards
    • Work on projects with the Business Development team
    • Analyze bids for areas of enhancement
    • Acquire new business by connecting with key decision makers
    • Utilize various channels to engage with key contacts
    • Employ branding and marketing tools for business targeting and acquisition

    To be eligible, you should:

    • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail
    • Have experience in bid writing and a track record of bid success
    • Demonstrate strong research and analytical abilities
    • Be adept at interpreting complex bid requirements
    • Exhibit strong organizational skills and handle multiple bids in a fast-paced setting
    • Bring extensive experience in recruitment and business development
