    Treasury management officer - Liverpool, United Kingdom - Hays Taxation

    This is a highly regarded and well known education institute (university) who are looking to recruit an experienced Treasury Manager with strong experience to help lead and develop the university's treasury function.

    The company offers an excellent overall package for the right candidate, including a competitive salary package and pension scheme - along with a progressive role and complex workload.

    The role is based in central Liverpool on a flexible, hybrid basis.

    This role will see you reporting to the Head of Financial Operations whilst providing advice and guidance to the wider finance team and organisation.

    You will need a good understanding of financial markets and banking procedures, whilst exhibiting strong analytical and communication skills, with a 'risk-orientated' mindset.

    Manage the treasury function, and have responsibility for cash management, investments, debt, forecasting, communicating with banks and handling risk exposure.

    Develop and maintain cashflow processes, including optimising payment methods, bonds, modelling, assessing and loan/credit management.
    Manage the university's debt position, and provide reports for senior management.

    Line management responsibility for the credit control team, and working with student fees and funding teams to discuss academic debt.

    Develop and manage relationships with external third parties such as banks, investment managers, credit agencies and lenders, and internal parties such as key departmental stakeholders and finance teams
    Support the risk management process through compliance and documentation.
    Lead and manage new and upcoming projects within the treasury and finance department.

    This role is ideal for you if you have gained extensive treasury management exposure, ideally within a large business or organisation, and have strong cashflow and risk management knowledge.

    You will be confident with legislative compliance, and have a good track record of implementing finance policies and processes.

    This role is based in Liverpool on a hybrid and flexible basis, and you will be expected on site at least 2 days per week.

    You will be a confident communicator, and be able to advise and guide internal and external senior stakeholders effectively.

    This role offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including a base package between £45,500 and £57,600 depending on experience.

    You will also receive a strong pension contribution, at least 20%, along with hybrid and flexible working, excellent career progression routes, and a complex workload.

    You will also receive a market leading holiday allowance, with 30 days alongside statutory closures and bank holidays with the ability to purchase more.
