    About the job

    About Comply365 + Vistair

Vistair is the UK part of Comply365 + Vistair, the leading global provider of operational data management in the aviation and rail sectors with customers such as British Airways, American Airlines, easyJet, Emirates, Cathay Pacific, Qantas, the Royal Air Force and many more. There is a huge demand for our technologies and services, and having recently announced the merger, we are looking to expand and develop our team with enthusiastic new joiners.

    About The Role

With lots of recent growth and activity, including our merger with US based company Comply365 and opening our Australian office, this is an exciting time to join the Vistair Compliance Team We are looking for a Compliance Executive to help us continue to meet and exceed statutory, regulatory and client expectations and standards. We operate fully established ISO 9001 and 27001 management systems along with our Cyber Essentials accreditation. We are consistently evolving and operate a culture of continual improvement (we always want to be the best we can be), but we're realistic too about how we get there.

Maintaining and continually improving the quality and security of our systems, processes and policies is critical to our strategy to continue to deliver world-class technology and services to our customers. There's lots to get stuck into and plenty of opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across the globe As a Compliance Executive, the primary purpose of this role is to work closely with the Compliance Officer to ensure compliance with Vistair's ISO 27001 accreditation. This will include both the day-to-day aspects including ISMS internal auditing (including logging and monitoring of resulting actions, Opportunities for Improvement and Non Conformities), alongside assisting with projects such as:

  • ISO 27001 management system recertification
  • ISO 27001:2022 transition project
  • ISO 27001 change to approval / scope project
  • ISO 27001 management systems merge project
  • There is scope to fully make this role your own and should you wish to lead on any of these projects, you will be supported to do so

There are other exciting opportunities and aspects of this compliance role that you can get involved in including compliance monitoring of GDPR, CCPA, Cyber Essentials, ISO 9001 and other compliance requirements as the company continues to grow and evolve.

This role will require you to build relationships with colleagues in various departments, at various levels in various locations around the business to support their understanding of our compliance obligations. You will also be required to liaise with our external auditors and customers, hosting compliance visits - onsite and remote.

Your role is important to the success of Vistair, and your team reports directly to the C-suite which ensures impartiality.

    What are we looking for?

    The ideal candidate will:

  • Ideally have experience (but at least an avid interest in and understanding) of information security compliance / governance and knowledge of ISO
  • Experience of involvement in projects of various sizes.
  • Be a self-starter and have experience, alongside confidence and a calm approach to juggling multiple priorities.
  • Enjoy building rapport and collaborating with all stakeholders using your credibility to provide robust but fair challenge and influencing skills to help Vistair reach its compliance goals.
  • Qualifications are not a pre-requisite but would be an advantage and for the right candidate, we would look to support you in obtaining relevant qualifications. Competency on computers and standard software like Windows, the Microsoft Office suite and e-mail are essential.

We are open to candidates seeking full or part time employment (minimum 30 hours per week). Vistair operates a flexible hybrid environment; our office is in Bristol. You must be able to obtain UK security clearance (paid for / arranged by Vistair).

    Benefits

Aside from the exciting opportunities involved in this new role and working within a great team, we have a range of benefits including considerations for healthcare, private medical insurance, 27 days holiday, increasing to 30 days, with option to buy/sell up to 3 days, work life balance, help with cost of living through vouchers and reductions in leisure, retail and travel. What it's like working here?

We are proud to describe our team as:

  • Enthusiastic with a great mix of experiences and an energy to achieve the best for our aviation partners, for our technology and for our people.
  • Down to earth: we speak normally, we listen and we help each other.
  • Our guiding principle is to always do the right thing and to work as a team to step up to challenges.
  • Given space to learn new things and to be involved in things they want to do.
  • Very supportive: we put a lot of time and effort into training, personal development and professional development; we have a great mental health team; and a social committee who organise events from gaming nights to bowling, football and cricket.
  • Encourage career progression: this is hugely important, we want to give everyone great opportunities and many of our team's career paths have evolved through their years at Vistair.
  • But don't just take our word for it Hear what our people say: meet the Vistair Team here
