    Treasury Manager - Bristol, United Kingdom - Omio

    Description

    Omio is pursuing a vision of bringing global transport into a single distribution system and creating end-to-end magical consumer journeys. While the whole world of air, hotels, or car rental is normalized, rail, bus, ferries, airport transfer, all forms of ground transport are fragmented on a local level.

    Omio is the largest source of inventory with 1000+ suppliers operating in 35 countries in Europe and North America. Along with their two brands, Rome2Rio used for global discovery, and Omio used for ticketing and journeys, they attract 600m+ users on a yearly basis while continuing to launch new geographies, new verticals, and new products as they scale. It's a team based in Berlin, with offices in Prague, London, Melbourne.

    They are a team of more than 350 passionate employees from more than 45 countries who share the same vision: to create a single tool to help send travellers almost anywhere in Europe, the U.S., and Canada.

    The Role:

    Manage the company's financial assets and ensure they are optimized to achieve maximum returns. Oversee the company's cash management processes, including forecasting, budgeting, and daily cash flow management. You will also manage relationships with financial institutions, negotiate banking fees, and provide financial analysis and reporting to the executive team to monitor financial risk.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement cash management policies and procedures to ensure the efficient use of company funds.
    • Forecast, budget, and analyze cash flow to identify potential liquidity
    • issues and opportunities for investment.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions
    • to optimize cash management strategies.
    • Negotiate banking fees and manage relationships with banking partners.
    • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate investment opportunities.
    • Provide financial analysis and reporting to the executive team.
    • Manage the company's investment portfolio to ensure maximum returns.
    • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and accounting standards.
    • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate financial risks.
    • Work with other departments to ensure that financial goals are aligned with business objectives.
    • Ad hoc tasks in support of the Finance function which is indirectly related to the treasury function.

    What You Bring to the Team:

    • Experience in a treasury function, with understanding of treasury accounting including FX, liquidity, cashflow and various financial instruments.
    • Knowledge of banking relationships and covenants.
    • Strong communicator, decisive critical thinker. A go-getter.
    • Pull together the simple story from complex information.
    • Elevated level of attention to detail.
    • Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize effectively to meet conflicting deadlines.
    • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience preferably within a multinational company/ multi-currency environment and in corporate risk management.
    • Start-up experience and understanding of the travel/ IT industry is desirable.
    • Experience with Workday ERP systems is advantageous but not essential.
    • Strong Excel skills are highly desirable.
    • Fluent in English (spoken and written) and German.
