    The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team is critical to helping senior managers understand the business of investment management at BlackRock.

    deliver economic insight into the relationships between costs and revenues to improve the financial success of the business going forward.

    We are a valued and critical component of the management function, working at all levels of BlackRock to provide both a broad and deep understanding of the firm's financial position and opportunities.

    This VP-level role sits within the BlackRock Equity Private Markets FP&A team which covers six underlying investment teams – Real Estate, PEP, SLS, LTPC, BIO and BCM – along with the affiliated executive platform.

    The candidate will be responsible for leading a small team to deliver the financial planning and analysis activities for the business leadership team.

    The individual will be an inspiring manager with the ability to articulate and deliver business insights and reporting to senior leader.

    This person will be a strong critical thinker with the ability to challenge perceived norms and drive forward key projects within a complex matrix organization.

    Manage a team of 2 individuals to deliver regular reporting, analysis and insight to the global EPM business
    Develop detailed budget and forecast models to drive high quality decision-making and closely monitor business performance
    Lead team-wide projects including financial modeling, resource optimization and the delivery of automated solutions for reporting
    Develop and present periodic financial reports to the EPM investment teams and Finance senior management
    Lead the evolution of the team's reporting, developing new approaches to critically assess the performance of the business

    6-10 years of experience in the financial services sector, preferably at a top-tier asset manager, investment bank, public accounting or consulting firm.

    Preferably a strong background in alternative asset management
    ~ Ability to clearly articulate and present ideas both in written presentations and orally to senior management
    ~ Solid proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications; advanced /in Excel; Strong academics including bachelor's degree
