    Default job background
    Regular
    Description

At Ripple, we're building a world where value moves like information does today. It's big, it's bold, and we're already doing it. Through our crypto solutions for financial institutions, businesses, governments and developers, we are improving the global financial system and creating greater economic fairness and opportunity for more people, in more places around the world. And we get to do the best work of our career and grow our skills surrounded by colleagues who have our backs.

If you're ready to see your impact and unlock incredible career growth opportunities, join us, and build real world value.

    THE WORK:

Ripple is looking for a Policy Communications expert to join our fast-growing communications team. In this role, you will oversee the company's global regulatory communications efforts in EMEA and APAC; devise strategic PR plans; and partner closely with the legal, corporate communications and policy teams. They are some of the best and brightest minds in law, tech, and government affairs, working together - and in partnership with regulators - to champion financial innovation.

An ideal candidate is highly networked with the influencers who matter (press, policymakers, social, etc.) and can execute aggressive, creative, multi-channel strategies for Ripple. You are equally as effective in influencing strategic alignment with cross-functional teams and are experienced advising senior executives on everything from communications strategies to press interviews. You'll manage a diverse set of executives and spokespeople from different disciplines, and build narratives that these spokespeople can deliver during press interviews and at events.

You thrive in a world where you are strategic but can also execute details flawlessly. You are creative with resources and energized by pushing the boundaries. No job is too big or small for you. Your peers admire and are inspired by you. And you never settle for the status quo.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Develop and execute communications strategies to achieve Ripple public policy, regulatory and advocacy objectives in APAC and EMEA.
  • Maintain and build relationships with tier-1 media outlets to advance Ripple's policy agenda; regularly communicate Ripple's policy and regulatory priorities to the press.
  • Draft and oversee the review process for press releases, talking points, messaging documents and other internal and external communications, seeing each through to completion.
  • Interact directly with Ripple's leaders, policymakers and industry influencers.
  • Support media training for company executives, conduct spokesperson training prior to interviews and provide presentation support for speaking engagements.
  • Manage agency relationships.
  • WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • 7+ years of relevant communications experience working on public policy issues for a technology company and/or public affairs agency.
  • An understanding of the policy and regulatory landscape impacting cryptocurrency innovation in EMEA and APAC.
  • Experience tracking policy developments and implementing campaigns around complex policy and regulatory items.
  • Established relationships with media contacts and demonstrated success with media relations.
  • Skilled at planning, prioritizing and executing in a fast-paced environment with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent at project management that requires collaborating with many contributors.
  • Ability to draft focused messaging and content for press-related materials like press releases, executive briefing documents, press kits, and blog posts.
  • Smart, energetic and relentless in the pursuit of moving the needle.
  • Serious attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • In-house experience in tech, digital payments and/or the cryptocurrency landscape is a big plus, but not required.
