Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to oversee and enhance our EHS programs.The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory bodies, promoting a culture of safety within the workplace, and implementing strategies to minimize risks related to health, safety, and environmental impacts.
Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive EHS policies and procedures in line with UK legislation and company standards.# Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures.
# Manage and coordinate emergency response plans and procedures, including training staff on emergency preparedness.
# Liaise with regulatory agencies and other external stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
# Develop and deliver EHS training programs to all levels of staff, fostering a culture of safety and awareness throughout the organization.
# Oversee the management of hazardous materials, including waste disposal and recycling programs.
# Provide leadership and direction to the EHS team, setting objectives, and evaluating performance.
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification relevant to the UK. Comprehensive knowledge of UK environmental, health, and safety legislation. Proven track record of improving EHS performance and culture in a manufacturing setting. Excellent computer and information technology skills, including MS Office applications, MS SharePoint, Box, or similar applications.
