    Description
    We are looking for a motivated and personable Corporate Governance Manager to join our team.

    The postholder will support delivery of the highest standards of corporate governance in the Trust, ensuring compliance with the regulatory framework, Trust licence, relevant legislation and Trust Constitution.

    They will provide comprehensive support to the Board of Directors and Council of Governors, and manage the organisation and governance of Committees to ensure efficient and effective running.


    The postholder is expected to work on their own authority and initiative, prioritising their own time to ensure that deadlines are met, and work in close collaboration with the Head of Corporate Governance, Corporate Governance Officer, Chair, Governors, Non-Executive Directors, CEO, Executive Directors, Executive PAs, and partnership organisations.

    The post holder must be able to embrace working in a dynamic and demanding office environment, while maintaining a high level of focus and attention to detail on specific tasks.

    Be educated to post-graduate level or have equivalent work experience
    Be a member of the Corporate Governance Institute UK & Ireland
    Have excellent communication, organisation, and administration skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint effectively, and take meeting minutes
    This is a full-time role with Monday-Friday working hours. Hybrid working may be considered in line with the Trust's flexible working policy.

    Affiliated or Student member of the Corporate Governance Institute UK & Ireland, having completed or in progress of completing post-graduate level study
    Further level of post-graduate study - masters or equivalent
    Evidence of continuous professional development and experience in this role

    Previous relevant experience in a Board level Company Secretary role / corporate governance role
    Able to demonstrate specialist knowledge and understanding of corporate governance conduct principles, legislation and best practice and able to evidence application of this knowledge in a complex organisation
    Significant experience of Board level and corporate governance systems and processes
