Are you motivated to contribute to the evidence base regarding the support of people whose behaviour may be described as challenging?
If you are, then we may have the job for you
At Loughshore, we are developing our current PBS programme to support both our current service users and new admissions.
This role is a full time permanent position based at a new service.The post holder will use their expertise to support predominantly in the following areas:
Staff training & development
Functional Behaviour Assessment
Behaviour Support Planning (BSP)
BSP implementation (including practice workshops)
Incident analysis & debrief
Meetings and supervision
Transitions
Liaising with MDT
The ideal candidate will:
(Essential)
Hold BSc in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities/ Applied Behaviour Analysis/ Psychology/Nursing/Occupational Therapy
Hold, or be working towards a formal qualification in: or Positive Behaviour Support i.e. PBS BTEC (advanced professional Diploma)
A full drivers' licence.
Desirable Criteria:
Board associate Certified Behaviour Analyst status and/or MSc in Analysis and Intervention in Learning Disability is desirable, NOT essential
Be willing and able to work towards instructor level inPROACT SCIPr-UK
In addition, the candidate will be able to demonstrate:
A history of direct support experience with people with learning disabilities and/or ASC and Challenging Behaviour
A history in conducting assessment and developing, implementing and evaluating interventions for individuals presenting with Challenging Behaviours
A history of development and delivery of Positive Behaviour Support training
A history of working as part of a peripatetic team providing consultation to 'challenging behaviour' services (Remote only)
A history of reducing the use of restrictive practices
