    Description

    Job Summary:
    We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Legal/Product Counsel to join our team at k-ID.

    As a Legal/Product Counsel, you will play a crucial role in providing legal guidance and support to our product and engineering teams, ensuring compliance with UK laws and regulations.

    In addition, you will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating contracts and agreements, conducting legal research, and helping us navigate legal complexities and mitigate risks.

    The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with a strong legal background and experience in the technology industry.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Provide legal advice and guidance to our product and engineering teams, ensuring compliance with UK laws and regulationsReview and negotiate contracts and agreements, including privacy policies, terms of service, and intellectual property licensesConduct legal research and analysis on various topics affecting the company's products and operationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to assess legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate themKeep up-to-date with relevant UK laws and regulations, and communicate any changes or updates to internal stakeholdersSupport the development and implementation of company policies and procedures related to legal and compliance mattersAssist in managing legal disputes and investigations, as necessaryRequirementsLaw degree from an accredited UK university and admission to practice law in the UK or in a Commonwealth jurisdictionMinimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in the technology industry2+ PQE with top tier international law firm experience or Tier-1 tech companyExperience in reviewing and negotiating contracts and agreementsStrong knowledge of UK laws and regulationsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and provide practical and strategic legal adviceHigh attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and prioritiesKnowledge of intellectual property laws and licensing agreements is a plusBenefitsRemuneration:Competitive start-up salary, health insurance and company ESOP
