    Splunk is currently seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented individual to join our presales team as a Senior Solution Engineer (Security) in UK.

    As a Splunk Senior Solution Engineer , you'll be the deep-dive technical sales resource for the UK Sales team supporting our clients across the region.

    Solution Engineers must be comfortable building rapport with technical champions and coaches augmenting the account team and serving as a trusted advisor within the accounts that they touch.

    Ability to demonstrate Splunk products and services to customers on site, remotely via webinar sessions, and at field events such as conferences and trade shows.

    Self-motivated with a proven track record in technical software sales and knowledge of technology.

    Experience working with complex application environments, with the ability to understand relevant sources of machine data, such as performance logs, application logs, audit logs, security data sources, network centric data, etc.

    Experience and hands-on skills with operating systems like UNIX, Linux or Windows.
    Experience and hands-on skills with scripting languages such as Python and Perl, as well as with regular expression (RegEx) pattern matching would be an advantage
    Prior experience with search engine technologies and query languages would be an advantage.
    A University degree or equivalent experience (preferably in computer science, software engineering or a similar field).
    Strong communication skills, including fluent verbal and written English language skills.
