Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for an IT Support Apprentice with 2M Holdings, a chemical manufacturing company based in West Yorkshire.
Reporting to the Head of IT, this role requires the ideal candidate to provide day-to-day IT support to the business, including logging of calls and providing 1st line technical support.
Maintaining and upgrading the windows environment including virtual machine provisioning and administration.Configuration, deployment and support of hardware and software including handheld devices.
Monitoring and deployment of Office365 and related server resources.
Monitoring and configuration of WAN/LAN and associated devices including telephony.
Developing knowledge base database.
Anti-virus, web and e-mail security administration.
Provide user support & user training.
5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)
Experience of problem analysis and resolution.
Experience of supporting IT customers in a commercial environment.
Windows server and desktop operating systems including virtual environments.
Office product suite including Office 365 administration and development (preferable).
Personal qualities:
Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
The role offers long term security and the opportunity to progress into a permanent position.
Training to be provided:
Estio apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry experienced training team.
Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.
Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Information Communications Technician, with training in how to:Efficiently operate and control your ICT infrastructure – physical or virtual hardware, software, network services and data storage.
Use infrastructure management tools to automate the provisioning, testing, deployment and monitoring of infrastructure components.
Prioritise systems support tasks and monitor and maintaining system performance.
Maintain regulatory, legal, and professional standards.
