    Role: Fire Engineer
    Location: Birmingham office – Projects across the West Midlands
    Salary: Up to £65,000 + excellent benefits package
    Sector: Multi-disciplinary Property & Construction Consultancy
    Carriera is proud to be working with one of our longstanding clients again who are one of the UK's top leading visionary construction management consultancies. Due to growth and the increase of a diverse portfolio of work, our client is looking to strengthen an already well-established team with the appointment of an experienced Fire Engineer.

    Our client is an innovative and progressive practice which has 10 offices based throughout the UK providing a variety of construction services to their clients in the built environment. The business is heavily involved in projects within the commercial, residential, energy, sport, data centres, aviation, infrastructure, hotel and leisure sectors across the country.

    The ideal candidate will have the autonomy and responsibility to deliver across a multitude of projects, with solid experience in Fire Safety guidance and advice.
    Key Responsibilities:

    • To provide fire engineering support in the delivery of projects.
    • To deliver elements of fire engineering assignments under the supervision of more senior members of staff.
    • To be able to take a simple brief from a more senior member of staff and act upon it.
    • To provide all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner.
    • To provide general support to the team.
    • Meet all the assessment requirements and expectations associated with your academic course of learning.

    About you

    • Will have a degree in BSc or MSc in Fire Engineering.
    • Robust knowledge of UK fire safety legislation.
    • Strong technical delivery experience.
    • Membership of IFE / IFSM / SFPE or equivalent.
    • Ability to successfully lead on and manage complex projects in a proactive and diligent manner.
    • Experience of prioritising workloads and delivering deadlines.
    • A team player, outgoing, flexible and ambitious.
