    Description

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Support Officer to join Community Youth Services. Our service is made up of a number of youth engagement services that seek to support young people where they are at: Targeted, Specialist and Universal Community Youth Services. Our mission is to offer safe, creative and ambitious Community Youth Services to all Sheffield young residents.

    The post will be within the Performance, Quality Assurance and Impact Service within Community Youth Services and as a Senior Business Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations of our business processes.

    Requirements

    The ideal candidate will be an experienced administrator with excellent communication and customer service skills. You will have an excellent understanding of confidentiality as you will be accessing highly sensitive information. You will be required to continually evaluate and adapt processes to meet standards, provide support for colleagues and clients, and maintain accurate records to facilitate auditing and quality assurance processes.

    Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support to meetings including collation of agenda material and minute taking as required.
  • Providing a high-quality administrative service, undertaking a wide range of administrative duties in order to ensure the smooth running of the service.
  • Assisting with and supporting the data input process and associated systems, ensuring inputting deadlines are met.
  • Carry out a range of financial tasks including raising purchase order and ensuring invoices, bills and accounts are properly managed and paid.
  • Adhering to deadlines and ensuring accuracy in administering incoming referrals.
  • It is essential that the post holder has excellent IT skills including Microsoft 365, Teams, Excel and management information systems. Accurate recording on spreadsheets and databases is essential.
  • Diary management for booking meetings.
  • The post is 18.5 hours a week and is flexible within office hours, but days fixed once agreed. The role is currently part office time and part working from home.
