    Description

    You will undertake a Data Analyst Apprenticeship for two years and on successful completion your career grade will rise from Band E to Band F.

    Are you looking for a role where you can champion the educational attainment of children and young people in Rotherham?

    Rotherham's School Organisation service is seeking a Technical Support officer to work within the team responsible for ensuring that all statutory school age children in Rotherham have access to a school place.

    The main focus of the role is to work closely with the Head of Service and Service Lead to prepare statutory returns to the Department for Education, Schools Adjudicator and other statutory and Council established bodies.

    You will support the Service Lead to ensure an effective traded service income generation system is in place and to establish term dates, process inset applications, manage exceptional school closures and facilitate other school organisation linked responsibilities.

    You will work with the Admissions Team as required by agreement between Service Leads to support the school Admission applications and transfers process.

    You will possess excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring compliance with national legislation and local policy.

    Confidence in the use of ICT systems to support processes is essential as you will use the Council's education management system to ensure that exacting timescales are met in the processing of applications.

    We are seeking a highly motivated individual who will thrive working in a service where you will be required to respond to changing demands and where no two days are ever the same.

    With the opportunity to drive forward service improvement, this is a real opportunity for a practitioner with a high level of personal drive to excel in a supportive working environment.

    You will be joining an experienced team of professionals and although previous experience in a field related to school admissions is desirable, full training will be given to the right candidate.

    The role is based at Riverside House and operates in line with the Council's working location policy.
