    The role holders overarching responsibility will be to focus on the Contract Delivery Plan (CDP); facilitate collaboration across Surrey & other service providers to align programmes and co-ordinate services to minimise congestion on the network.

    A dual role working for the Council and RIS to embed the Contract Delivery Plan as a living document.

    The principal role of our CPM will be to manage and monitor the CDP, to ensure we can book road space well in advance to deliver a more efficient service and enable utility companies to work more collaboratively with us; and that our operations deliver efficiency and best value for Surrey CC.

    In doing so, our CPM will work closely with Council counterparts, to ensure budgets, programmes and spend are delivered to exactly align with Council priorities and positively benefit all stakeholders across Surrey.

    Key Responsibilities;


    • Ensure the Contract Delivery Plan (CDP), developed from Surrey Annual Budget Plan, is embedded as a 'living' document, underpinning both our programming and delivery of services. These jointly developed programmes of work will maximise opportunities for ECI, combining works and reducing costs, thereby optimising and improving network performance for all users
    • Formally reviewing the CDP with the Council at the month
    • To direct resources of people, vehicle, plant, materials, sub-contractors and premises, in order to achieve the aims and objectives of the local business plan
    • To ensure that operations are carried out in a commercially astute manner to ensure best value for the client
    • Financial control including annual and periodic budgets and forecasting is maintained and reporting on the operational and financial aspects of the contract at periodic management reviews
    • Compliance to the companies policies and procedures
    • Effective planning & programming to ensure service delivery
    • To accept and carry out any reasonable task as requested by a member of management
    • Attend and participate in Team Briefings
    Ideal Candidate;


    • Experience previously in a similar role
    • Highways industry knowledge
    • Driving License
    • Excellent MS Tools skills, especially Excel
    • PRINCE2 and MSP qualifications (Desired)
    • Experience with PowerBI
    • Knowledge of construction phasing
