Specialist Advisor - United Kingdom - Neuroharmony

    Neuroharmony
    Neuroharmony United Kingdom

    Default job background
    Description

This job role is exceptionally unique, placing a strong emphasis on a candidate's individual attributes, character, and potential contributions to the team, valuing these qualities over traditional qualifications.

At Neuroharmony, our approach to candidate selection transcends traditional metrics like education and qualifications. Instead, we focus on identifying individuals who are deeply passionate about working with neurodiverse children. Our quest is to find individuals who not only possess an innate drive but also exhibit a genuine interest and curiosity in learning about the Polyvagal Theory in relation to the children we support. With this knowledge, we are able to provide practical and meaningful support for families and young people. We believe that an individual's enthusiasm and commitment to our mission are the cornerstones of their potential to thrive within our charity, contributing positively to the well-being of the children we serve and the evolution of our innovative approaches to care and support.

Neuroharmony is a team of passionate individuals working together to develop change around the thinking and approach when working with emotionally dysregulated children and young people. Our experience and qualifications come from specialist education and working closely with a broad range of professionals. Our strengths, knowledge and experience enable us to reflect, develop and respond to the unique needs of each child and young person.

Our approach helps families and professionals to reflect on how a child or young person may be experiencing their environment. This enables them to see things from a different perspective and to understand behaviour as a protective response and communication of need. As understanding develops, parents and professionals can become more attuned to the individual's needs. When this takes place more meaningful connections, interactions and learning occurs.

In today's fast paced society, we are often so focused on the end result that we forget to appreciate the whole learning journey. In our experience, the most valuable learning comes when we allow time to attentively respond to the pace of the individual.
