    About The Role

    RAC have an exciting opportunity within our Technical Team based in Bristol. We are currently for an experienced T3 Software Developer with strong analytical & problem-solving skills to join on a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract. This role will be delivered on a flexible hybrid model of working three days from home and two days at our Bradley Stoke office.

    In this fast-paced role you'll be asked to support the RAC Connected proposition in delivering planned and future growth and continue the development of improvements towards RAC Connected's platform.

    What You'll Do... As part of the technical team, this position provides excellent platform functionality by addressing technical issues raised by T2 and customers, developing enhancements to the platform, managing closure of work items, and communicating product updates. You'll also be asked to;
    • Be involved in new product development.
    • Provide ideas and technical insights into improvements to be made to existing services.
    • Develop fixes that address bugs raised by internal stakeholders or customers.
    • Add and update unit and integration tests to validate platform functionality.
    • Review code from other developers to ensure quality is maintained.
    • Develop unit and integration tests to validate the functionality of their work.
    • Assist the Infrastructure Engineer when deploying releases.
    • Document any new or missing processes implemented within the RAC Connected's platform.
    • Convey key concepts to product development to help define new features, product enhancements, and potential future market requirements.
    What You'll Need... To be considered for this position we're looking for someone with a Computer Science degree (or equivalent) along with 3+ years professional technical experience. You'll also possess the following;

    Essential Technical requirements:
    • Windows development stack (.Net Framework, .Net Core, and C#)
    • React, Razor Pages
    • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
    • SQL
    • SOLID (or other Object Oriented Design Principles)
    Desirable Technical requirements;
    • Proficiency in version control software (preferably Git)
    • Familiarity with Azure and Office365
    Other requirements
    • Strong communication and documentation skills.
    • Have a strong attention to detail.
    • Attitude to accept, progress, and master new technologies.
    • Ability to self-manage workload and have good deadline management.
    • The ability to work under your own volition while working remotely.
