- Develop and implement comprehensive risk frameworks
- Provide strategic oversight of the bank's enterprise risk management
- Ensure compliance with all relevant risk-related regulations
- Present risk reports to the board and relevant stakeholders
- Lead and develop a team of risk professionals
- Develop strategies to manage financial risks
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure risk management strategies are integrated across the organisation
- Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and changes in the regulatory environment
- Manage the relationship with the regulator and all senior stakeholders
- A solid understanding of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)
- Ideally worked in a top tier Wholesale Bank and then moved to a mid sized firm as a CRO in the UK
- Proven track record of managing risk in a banking environment
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to develop a team
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex information clearly
- strong relationship with the FCA and PRA
- Ideally has been interviewed previously by the regulator
