    The Opportunity Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services with over 260 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films, and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching, as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time. To support this growth, we are looking for an Event Specialist for the UK who will be based out of our office in London. The Role This UK Event Specialist will play a key role in strategizing, executing and managing external and some large scale internal events as part of the publicity and marketing team. They will be a member of a broader, seasoned group of events professionals who are based across the local offices in EMEA. This role will be responsible for collaborating, supporting and delivering the events for the UK and will report into the Event Lead UK. The primary focus of this role will be a combination of managing your own small to mid-sized events, supporting event managers on large-scale events and keeping the entire UK Events Team organised across all UK events. More broadly the goal of the team is to drive conversation around Netflix titles, talent and the brand through curated external events and experiences. The specialist will work with other events team members and the cross functional team that is helping to create, shape, execute and manage campaigns for our content, meaning that they will have to be in sync and show a curiosity about promotional efforts and contribute to building campaigns with new and innovative event ideas. This is also a hands-on role and one that requires end to end project management of some events, whilst also working as a support on other events. This will involve varying tasks such as leading cross functional project taskforce groups, managing agency pitches, ideating event creative, overseeing guest communications, formulating budgets, handling event admin and much more. Success in the role is someone who can simplify even the most challenging of situations, leaving partners and talent impressed and feeling like their event is in very safe and trusted hands.

    Candidate Profile

  • Has a minimum of 7 years of experience in an events role, at an agency, entertainment studio, network or with a global brand.
  • Has demonstrable experience with handling event production including high end builds, management of F&B, guest lists, event seating plus more.
  • A solid understanding of the UK market, press and entertainment landscape.
  • An effective communicator - someone who can articulate what they are trying to achieve, positively influence others to their way of thinking and is confident to share their POV with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Has demonstrable experience of in-person and virtual event production and is curious to continually innovate in this space to take our events to the next level.
  • Is so highly organized that even Marie Kondo would be proud. They can handle a vast amount of work and are open to learning new skills.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, comfortable in managing multiple projects concurrently and not afraid to get stuck into the work, regardless of the task.
  • Fluency in English.
  • A proactive self-starter who exhibits good judgment, great teamwork, innovation, selflessness, courage, impact, candid communication, , integrity, passion, and curiosity.
