    Description

    Role: Financial ControllerGlobal Luxury Retailer(SME)

    Location:Central London (hybridworking)

    Salary: 80k90k plus bonus and shareoptions

    The Role: This opportunityis working for a wellestablished and successful Global LuxuryRetailer with a brilliant brand in the sector and a very excitingstrategy for the future. The business has a loyal and expandingcustomer base which operates through multichannel salesdistribution through its wellknown flagship stores global websiteand stocked in many wholesale customer outlets globally. As acrucial member of the Finance team reporting into the CFO you willbe responsible for maintaining all necessary daytoday financialcontrols systems and processes to ensure the efficient andeffective management of the Groups finances and compliance withstatutory requirements. The main objective of the role is toanalyse and report on financial performance including sales andmargin analysis support in the development of reporting systemsdashboards and KPIs and to ensure all stakeholders can fully relyupon the financial information provided.     RolesandResponsibilities:

    • Managementof the daytoday activities of the finance function and oversee thefinance team
    • Preparation of the monthlyconsolidated management accounts including Profit and Loss BalanceSheet and Cashflow reports adhering to setdeadlines
    • To work with the finance teams in theUK and Europe and act as a mentor to provide assistance and advicewhere required
    • Periodically review departmentalprofit and loss reports with relevant managers and provideadditional analysis and information to support departmentaldecision making
    • Preparation of weekly groupcashflow forecasts and assist with managing group cash requirementsand foreign exchange
    • Support in the preparationof annual budgets and business forecasts including P&LBalance Sheets and Cashflow
    • Oversee thepreparation of weekly and monthly sales and ordersreports
    • To ensure all relevant journal entriesaccruals prepayments fixed assets and all other balancereconciliations are processed
    • Oversee thepreparation of monthly inventory reports and oversee allstocktaking activities including all retail stores the factory anddistribution centre to ensure the valuations are a true reflectionof the inventory in hand
    • Analysis of inventorymargins to maximise profitability
    • Work with themanufacturing team to analyse all production costs agree standardcosts and update periodically to ensure that gross profit ismaintained
    • Liaise with the product developmentand design team to prepare indicative costs of new product designsto ensure that they are within the agreed pricing structure toensure adequate profitability
    • Preparation ofyearend Financial Accounts and liaison withAuditors
    • Assist the CFO in financial modellingand analysis including budgets forecasts and cashflow
    • Preparation of monthly and quarterlystatutory returns
    • Implementation of andmaintenance of robust internal control systems across theorganisation by identifying problems improving practices andwriting new procedures
    • Lead the implementationof new systems to provide enhanced reporting and analysis for thebusiness including BI group reportingtools

    Requirements:

    • Qualifiedaccountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with three years Management Reportingexperience
    • Experience of working in acommercial environment ideally wholesale / retail /manufacturing
    • Strong commercial acumen with afocus on driving excellent financial and commercialperformance
    • Proven experience of analysing andinterpreting data with the ability of summarising key points andmaking recommendations
    • Ability to manage andprioritise workload whilst maintaining a strong relationship withkey stakeholders
    • Highly skilled in Microsoftsoftware with experience in using finance and reportingsoftware
