The Royal Borough of Greenwich is looking for dedicated, forward thinking, and enthusiastic Technical Officers and Environmental Health Officers within the Environmental Health service, part of the Council's Community Safety & Environmental Health Division.

Our mission is very much about ensuring that people in Greenwich have access to safe and secure housing that meets their needs, whilst striving to be the 'best or better' in the services we deliver each and every day.

A key aspect of this role will be a focus on the licensing of private rented properties, and post holders will demonstrate best practice and high productivity in their area of responsibility.

If appointed as Lead Environmental Health Officer you will lead in a specific area licensing / enforcement work and will support managers in training staff, building skills, refining inspection processes and adopting best practice.

The successful candidate will be eligible to take part in the Council's flexible working arrangements, and hybrid working to help you achieve a good work/life balance, including a 35-hour working week.
