    Senior HR Business Partner – Commercial

    Hub/Hybrid Cambridge, UK

    As aSenior HR Business Partner (HRBP)hereatIllumina,you will be part of a supportive, collaborative, and creative team. You will be responsible for working closely with your client groups (senior business leaders, line managers, and employees) to build capabilities, plan and manage talent, and develop approaches that align with the business needs and objectives.

    Why you

    You will have previous experience in an HRBP role in an international business, ideally supporting a commercial function. Language skills (in particular, French) would be an advantage. You will have a proactive approach and will be keen to learn. You will have demonstratable change management experience and have excellent communication and collaboration skills.

    Key responsibilities

    • Work closely with client groups, providing strategic HR consultation to optimise people, structure, process, and culture, with the goal of achieving business results.
    • Participate in strategic meetings with management and employees to gain and offer HR insight on business and operational challenges.
    • Develop a thorough understanding of the organisation's needs and future direction to ensure business decisions take into account the people implications and minimise company exposure.
    • Provide coaching and feedback on how to improve individual and organisational performance to meet strategic and tactical goals and objectives.
    • Drive the talent management program for client groups such as Talent Review, employee development and employee engagement initiatives.
    • Work with employees and managers to address issues and recommend and implement effective solutions for resolution.

    Skills and experience

    Essential

    • Considerable generalist HR experience is required along with previous experience working as an HRBP across a complex matrix, international organisation.
    • Competence in broad HR functional areas for example, employee relations, compensation philosophies, performance management, talent development and employment law.
    • A proactive, solution-focussed mindset, along with the ability to deal with ambiguity.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

    Desirable

    • Experience working in an HR role supporting a business in France, Italy and Spain would be beneficial.
    • Language skills (particularly, French) would be advantageous.
    • Experience in facilitating and delivering training/team session.
