    Description

    RPS is currently looking for a Programme Director to support the delivery of projects in partnership with United Utilities through their Better Rivers Programme. If you have experience in the water/wastewater sector, specifically in a Project or Programme leadership role, this position might be the perfect fit for you.

    As part of our dynamic team, you will work closely with our Framework Director and a group of Regional Programme Managers to ensure the successful completion of a significant programme of wastewater projects within challenging budgets and timelines.

    About The Role and Company:

    The Programme Director position at RPS offers a unique opportunity to lead large programmes in the water sector, working alongside a team of Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts. This role is crucial in helping our Water Consulting team provide innovative solutions to our clients in the industry.

    RPS Water Consulting is involved in various long-term framework agreements with major water companies, offering a stable and rewarding career path. Leading into AMP9 and beyond, this role promises a lasting impact and legacy in the water industry.

    • Leading and collaborating with Regional Programme Managers.
    • Ensuring framework profitability targets are met.
    • Coordinating delivery programmes across the framework.
    • Managing resources effectively.
    • Identifying and addressing programme risks and opportunities.
    • Building strong client relationships.
    • Driving efficiency and optimization in the programme.

    Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

    To excel in this role, you should have experience in delivering major projects in the water sector, the ability to build and mentor teams, and excellent communication skills. You must also demonstrate collaborative negotiation skills and be willing to travel as needed.
