Area Business Manager- Central UK
Major Talent are partnered with a chemical & ingredients distributor in the UK and who are looking for an Area Business Manager oversee the West Midlands and surrounding areas.
As a Area Business Manager you will be responsible for management of existing accounts as well as new business development, working with leading food, FMCG and chemical companies
This is a hybrid position, with 3 days per week from home office and 2 days on site
Responsibilities of a Area Business Manager
Manage existing customer accounts to achieve targeted annual sales budgets for a range of raw materials and ingredients
Responsible for face-to-face, B2B, B2C sales and account management
You will be working on a large number of established house accounts, ensuring that business is both maintained and cultivated.
Prospect new customers to drive sales forward for the area and company.Work towards KPI targets set both individually and as part of a team. You will be as comfortable in face-to-face meetings with clients as they are on the phone
Manage your own diary and cover a customer area, West Midlands and surrounding area, regular visits to the head office and remote home working
Actively build a pipeline of projects aligning the strategic advantages of key suppliers with current and potential customers.
Skills Required to be a Area Business Manager
Be comfortable with an element of cold calling as well as generating your own leads via internet research/social media/press and other channels.
Must be able to work well on your own and as part of a sales team.Have the ability to work towards set KPIs and sales targets.
Good time management
A solid understanding of how to maximise profit/loss & turnover/margin.
Prior product/market knowledge is preferred.
