    Job Opportunity:
    Managing Director - Construction BusinessSalary: £175,000 - £300,000 package (Including £15,000 car allowance and benefits)

    Location:

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for youWe are seeking an experienced Managing Director to join our team and drive further growth to our construction business.

    As the Managing Director, you will be responsible for leading the company, overseeing all aspects of operations, and driving strategic initiatives to achieve business objectives.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Assume leadership of the construction business, taking over from the founder and leading a team of dedicated professionals.
    Manage construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
    Oversee contracts and contractor management, utilising your strong commercial acumen to drive value and minimise risks.
    Demonstrate proficiency in residential development, with the ability to self-deliver projects and manage the full development lifecycle.
    Possess detailed knowledge of JCT Contracts and contractor/subcontractor appointment processes.
    Utilise your finance and accounting expertise to set accurate budgets, monitor financial performance, and provide timely reporting.
    Implement stringent quality control measures, ensuring all projects meet or exceed industry standards.
    Challenge engineers and value engineer projects to optimise costs and efficiencies.
    Utilise strong planning and preconstruction skills to ensure smooth project execution.
    Leverage existing relationships with Kent-based contractors, land sellers, and housing associations to drive business growth.


    Qualifications and Skills:
    Proven experience in construction management, with a track record of delivering successful residential developments.
    Strong commercial acumen, with expertise in contracts, finance, and accounting.
    Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
    Proficiency in setting accurate build and company budgets and providing detailed financial reporting.
    Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
    Existing relationships within the construction industry, particularly in the Kent region.
    Valid driver's license, as travel to sites across the UK will be required.


    Benefits:
    Starting package ranging from £175,000 to £300,000 in the first year, with opportunities for progression. (Including £15,000 car allowance)10% net profit share for all new developments self-acquired and delivered.

    Commission on existing developments based on time and cost savings achieved.25 days holidayFree use of company holiday homes for personal and family enjoyment.
