    Field Sales Manager Position in Poole

    Dovetail Recruitment is thrilled to collaborate with an established company seeking a new Field Sales Manager to join their team. The role involves managing and growing a portfolio of accounts in Poole, Bournemouth, and surrounding areas.

    The position of Field Sales Manager is field-based, focusing on the food service industry. Therefore, the ideal candidate should have a genuine passion for food, along with a high level of self-motivation and ambition.

    The successful applicant will manage accounts within the designated territory, encompassing Bournemouth, Poole, and neighboring areas. Responsibilities include selling and promoting a diverse range of food and catering products to the foodservice sector, with a strong emphasis on both up-selling to existing clients and acquiring new business.



    Salary & Benefits:


    • Salary £DOE per annum plus commission
    • Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week
    • Company car with fuel card
    • Company mobile phone and iPad

    Additional perks include 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, which increase to 25 days based on length of service. The package also offers a workplace pension scheme, life assurance scheme, income protection scheme, access to Employee Health Assured Program (EAP), staff discount on company goods, free onsite car parking, covered bicycle rack, and a complimentary annual eye test.


    Duties & Responsibilities for the Field Sales Manager:


    • Research, achieve, and increase sales turnover and profit margins year over year
    • Create and implement area business plans to drive growth
    • Develop new accounts through cold calling and prospecting
    • Maximize sales opportunities within existing accounts
    • Deliver presentations, negotiate terms, and close sales
    • Complete necessary administrative tasks and reports
    • Contribute to team sales plans and company promotions
    • Monitor competitor activity and achieve bonus targets
    • Attend sales and networking events

    Knowledge & Experience Required:


    • Full, UK Driving licence is essential
    • Previous sales experience is crucial
    • Good geographical knowledge of the area
    • Target-driven with strong communication skills
