    You will be part of the Delivery Team at TPXimpact, reporting directly to the Heads of Delivery Management.

    At the highest level, Delivery is TPXimpact's product. We are all passionate about quality, bringing the right skills together to tackle a problem and we worry if we feel our delivery is not hitting appropriate standards.     We are experts at creating teams from a variety of sources - either from within TPXimpact's well rounded capability areas, contractors, or other suppliers - ensuring that they perform to a high standard. Our clients value this and it stands us out from many of our competitors.

    The Principal Delivery Manager role is critical to TPXimpact's Delivery Team as it forms a key part of our skills and development pathway to ensure we build and retain a strong delivery capability. As a Principal Delivery Manager, you will be expected to be an authority in your domain as you will be a senior member of TPXimpact's delivery team. You will lead and be responsible throughout the entire digital product life cycle, and have greater responsibility and accountability as TPXimpact's main point of escalation for our clients. More detail is provided in the 'Responsibilities' section below.

    This role description is not inflexible but is an outline of the main duties and capabilities. The role holder should, however, carry out any other reasonable duties commensurate with the role, as the needs of the company require.

    Responsibilities

    A Principal Delivery Manager is accountable for the performance of the team. In this role, you will:

  • Be accountable for the successful delivery of your team, managing client expectations whilst working closely with Partners to ensure the commercial success of our projects. In certain instances, Principal Delivery Managers may lead the delivery of projects without a Partner or Sponsor supporting the work.
  • Build and maintain multidisciplinary delivery teams, ensuring they are motivated, collaborating and working well.
  • Support the management and growth of client accounts alongside Partners, looking for opportunities to grow revenues through existing project extensions or by identifying new opportunities, liaising with Client Services, Engineering and Design teams as required.
  • Represent and champion TPXimpact's delivery principles internally and externally through public speaking, writing, and contribution to Delivery communities external to TPXimpact.
  • Lead on building capability and excellence in TPXimpact's delivery methodology including the adoption of core Agile delivery skills and practices within client organisations and other divisions of TPXimpact.
  • Support on building capability and excellence in TPXimpact's technical delivery methodology including release management, automated testing, devops principles and practices.
  • Lead agile coaching where necessary to assist clients in applying the most appropriate agile and lean tools and techniques.
  • Support Product coaching, user centred design and technical delivery as required to assist clients in applying the most appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Support the professional development and continuous improvement of delivery managers and senior delivery managers.
  • Be a skilled team leader who is able to confidently communicate the value of the role to digital and non-digital stakeholders.
  • Consistently implement TPXimpact's defined delivery approach to a very high standard.
  • Work with other capability areas within TPXimpact to promote effective cross-functional delivery e.g. Design, Engineering, Product
  • Proactively identify obstacles to help the delivery team to overcome them and promote continuous improvement.
  • Ensure delivery team activities, focus, and priorities are aligned to our agreed strategic outcomes e.g. alignment with SOW's, V2MOM, CoP best practice.
  • Encourage and facilitate continuous improvement of TPXimpact client projects.
  • Attend resourcing meetings and provide regular project and resource updates to help inform, plan and deliver upcoming projects.
  • Attend project check-in meetings to provide updates on projects you're leading and supporting.
  • Work effectively across multiple client projects and clients.
  • Work closely with the Client Services teams keeping them appraised of project performance highlighting any potential issues.
  • Work closely with the Client Services team to ensure delivery values and principles are built into every project we bid on
  • Work with marketing & delivery teams to ensure each project gets written up as a case study and occasionally shared more broadly within and outside of TPXimpact.
  • Support the drafting proposals, ensuring effective collaboration between the delivery and sales team where appropriate
  • Assist and support the Delivery leadership team , as required.
  • Work closely with Partners and Senior Partners to define project and account strategies and then esure those inform the delivery of projects by teams.
  • Build strong relationships with other Principals in the Design and Engineering practices to ensure a consistent approach to delivering work.
  • Contribute to the Delivery Community of Practice by bringing new approaches, insights, and tools to the wider Delivery team.
